Allie and I keep trying new breads. In the past three weeks, we've had Potato Bread, Potato Rye,Sonnenblumenbrot (German Sunflower Seed Bread), Leinsamenbrot (German Flaxseed Soudough Rye), and Kolaches, a Czech pastry specialty.
Allie has taken on the rye breads. Her next challenge is pumpernickel. I tried several a year ago and never could find one that I thought justified the name. I know Allie will succeed.
We are working toward having specialties for Market and SuperMart. The first special bread for SuperMart is the German Flaxseed Rye, It is probably the best rye we have made. It would be great for sandwiches or with a good slice of cheese. SuperMart has the best selection of cheese in the Middle Rio Grande. Why drive to Albuquerque? Support our local grocer.
We will continue to add seasonal breads, tarts, cupcakes to the mix. If you have any special orders or request, please let us know a week before so we can put it in the mix.
Your local bakers,
Jon and Allie
